Obama did not do either of those things. He posted the official birth certificate of Hawaii. Yes, the Certification of Live Birth is the official, and only, birth certificate of Hawaii. And he did not spend "huge sums." In fact, he did not spend anything to hide any document. Virtually all the lawsuits against him were to stop the election. Then there were lawsuits to stop the Electoral College from voting, the Congress from certifying the election and to stop the Inauguration. The remaining few lawsuits tried to strip Obama of the presidency. ALL of these lawsuits failed. In our system, you have to defend against lawsuits even if they are stupid. The large number of lawsuits brought by birthers does not mean anything except that they have enough money to sue. And, none of the lawsuits was just for the birth certificate or just for documents.
