Obama started out his campaign saying that only the top 1% of Americans would see their taxes go up, if they made $300,000 a year or more. Then he went down during the debates saying that 95% would not see their taxes go up, if they made less than $250,000. Then this week he said only people making more than $200,000 would get a tax increase. Soon afterward, Joe Biden said the plan is now only for people making over $150,000. I heard that one of them recently was stating it down in the $90,000 area.

Do you see what is happening? Taxes are going to go up for all of us sooner or later now that we will be under an Obama regime.

Furthermore, most businesses make well over $150,000 a year, and even over $300,000. When Obama says these big numbers, most workers think that there is no way that will affect them, because they don’t make anything close to that a year. But let’s do the math. If a business has, let’s say, five employees who make $50,000 a year, that means that business makes $250,000 right there, just to cover payroll! That doesn’t even account for expenses, costs, profit, etc! Very few businesses make less than $150,000 or even $300,000 a year; the few that do are mostly sole proprietorships where individuals work their own business without hiring employees.

When a business’ taxes goes up, they have to lay-off workers and cut wages to continue operating at a level of equilibrium. It is a fact of basic economics (the same thing happens every time minimum wage goes up).

If you think that you won’t be affected by Obama’s tax plan, ask your boss about how much your company brings in a year. I guarantee you’ll be surprised.

Also, what Obama does not tell you is that about 45% of Americans do not pay any income taxes at all. So how can 95% of Americans get a tax cut, as he claims he is going to do?! If you examine his plan carefully, you will learn that these 45% will get their “cut” as a check from the government which comes straight from the rest of us and our employers. This is, quite simply, socialism, or “spreading the wealth” as Obama told Joe the Plumber he wanted to do. Spreading the wealth is trickle-up poverty. It is essentially punishing hard workers by taking away their hard earned money once they start making more, making them poorer, while rewarding those who do not work hard and letting them barely make it without needing to work harder. It reduces the incentive to succeed and removes the motivation to go out and work.

We did not become the most largest, most powerful, most influential and most desired country (which is precisely why we are also the most hated by some) by socialism. We got here via capitalism. Go and do your homework before you vote. Socialism has never worked and has always created problems for a country. Jimmy Carter tried crud like this before and it screwed everything up until Reagan came in a cleaned up the mess.

I don’t care what it takes. Armed overthrow, civil war, some raghead setting off a nuke in DC, anything. It’s preferrable to another DAY of Obama.
